Bhabani
Prasad Shaha
Bhabani Prasad Saha, also known as Rabi, was the son of philanthropist Ranada Prasad Saha, founder of the Kumudini Welfare Trust. He was involved in his family's social welfare activities.
During the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, he was abducted along with his father by Pakistani forces and their collaborators on 7 May 1971 from their home in Narayanganj. They were later killed, and their bodies were never recovered.
He is remembered as a martyr of the Liberation War and his legacy continues through institutions such as the B. P. Shaha Language Institute, which stands as a tribute to his name and the Saha family's enduring commitment to education and public service.
